The People's Advocate, Erinda Ballanca, has stated that the institution she heads has not yet received any complaints from citizens regarding the action taken to demolish illegal constructions in Theth.
In a statement to the media, she stated that the institution she leads needs the consensus of citizens to launch full investigations into certain issues, while she brought up as an example a case in Shkodra, where citizens did not agree to launch an investigation, obstructing the process.
She emphasized that in order to fully identify the issues and positions of the institutions, an in-depth investigation and direct cooperation with citizens is necessary, for which she said that a team will also be sent to the field.
Erinda Ballanca: The Ombudsman must have the consensus of the citizens to start an investigation. There was a similar issue in Shkodra, where the citizens did not give us the consensus to start the investigation. A full investigation is needed to identify the problems of the citizens and the positions of the relevant bodies.
