The suspected perpetrator of the murder of Artur Çangu, an event that occurred on the evening of April 10 in the village of Viron, in the Nikla area, Fushë-Krujë, has been arrested.
Eduart Afmataj was wanted after the crime and was arrested today after his location was identified.
According to preliminary investigations, the conflict between the victim and the perpetrator began about two years ago over property issues.
On the evening of the incident, the 41-year-old had gone near his parents' apartment and parked the vehicle, which is suspected to have caused the collision with Afmataj.
The argument between them escalated into a physical conflict and then into the use of a weapon. It is suspected that Afmataj took a shotgun and shot at Çang, who lost his life on the spot.
After committing the crime, the perpetrator allegedly notified the police and then left the scene, remaining on the run until his arrest.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of this serious event.
