Will she run for president in 2028? Here's how Kamala Harris responds

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris said she is considering "the possibility of running" for president again in 2028. She made these statements while being asked during an event by the civil rights group National Action Network in New York.

She declared: "Maybe, maybe. I'm thinking about it, I'm thinking about it," also receiving cheers from the audience.

Harris, who served as No. 2 during President Joe Biden's term, was defeated in the 2024 presidential election by Donald Trump, who won both the popular vote and the Electoral College.

She previously served as a U.S. senator and California attorney general, among other positions.

Harris also ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 election.
