Abdixhiku a candidate for President? LDK leader speaks out after speculation, reveals conversation with Kurti

Although he has recently been rumored as a possible candidate for President of Kosovo, LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiu denied today that any specific names have been discussed with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, A2CNN reports. Abdixhiu said that the main focus is on uniting the right-wing spectrum within LDK, and not on him personally taking a state position.
" I heard a lot of speculation yesterday. They are just speculation, they are not true. We have not talked about names, much less about my name. So, we have talked about the two current proposals that are from the Vetëvendosje Movement and yesterday morning I responded that the LDK cannot support a scenario in which all three candidacies, all three state positions, belong to one political party ," he declared.
Among other things, Abdixhiku said that he met with Bedri Hamza to discuss the PDK's position, while he said that Ramush Haradinaj has refused the meeting.
" Yes, I met with Mr. Hamza. I held discussions to see their position. Mr. Haradinaj refused the meeting. To be honest, it is their fault that they do not want to meet, so as not to complain later, because the meeting is a prerequisite for normal human discussions ," he said.
