New details have emerged from the serious incident recorded in Italy, where four members of an Albanian family lost their lives as a result of poisoning from a gas leak.
So far, it is known that the 48-year-old father, the 43-year-old mother, and the two children, respectively 22 and 15 years old, have lost their lives, while the tragedy occurred around dinner time.
Italian media write that upon entering the apartment, rescue teams and police found the table set, as the family had prepared to eat dinner.
It is also reported that it was the brother of the head of the family who raised the alarm and notified the carabinieri. After arriving at the three-story apartment and receiving no response after numerous knocks, they were forced to break down the door.
Inside, they found the bodies of four family members, while the head of the family's brother also ended up in the hospital after coming into contact with carbon monoxide.
It is also reported that the mayor of Porcari, Leonardo Fornaciari, arrived at the scene, expressing shock and deep pain over a tragedy that, according to him, has affected the entire community of this small town, just a few kilometers from Lucca.
