The execution of 43-year-old Mondi Mëllaha, a crime that occurred on Sunday evening (November 30), is suspected to be related to disputes over the division of the profit rate in the business.

According to sources, recent incidents between the victim and his partner, 32-year-old Ghino Ago, were also caused by this issue.

The murder was solved.

The Elbasan Blues explain that after 24 hours, two citizens suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder were identified and declared wanted, who were later put in handcuffs.

As part of the police operation codenamed "Strike", citizens Xhino Ago and Kujtim Pisha were arrested, and citizens Marcelo Arani and Armando Kola were declared wanted.

Xhino Ago, 32, is the associate of the murdered businessman, who is accused of the criminal offenses of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition". While Kujtim Pisha, 52, is accused of the criminal offense of "Failure to Report a Crime".

According to the police, the investigative actions resulted in the vehicle used by the perpetrators being owned by citizen Ghino Ago, who had lent it for use to citizen Marcelo Arani.

In-depth investigative actions continue to clarify and fully legally document the murder of the 43-year-old.

As a result of in-depth and continuous investigations, after 24 hours, two citizens suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder were identified and declared wanted.

One of the associates is handcuffed.

The 52-year-old was also arrested for "Failure to Report a Crime" after failing to provide information (the gas station guard).

During the investigation, the vehicle used by the perpetrators and the firearm used in the incident were found burned.

Also, vehicle purchase documents, 3 cell phones and 2 DVRs were seized.

As a result of intensive investigative work carried out within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Strike", to uncover the authorship of the event that occurred on 30.11.2025, in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood, where citizen MM, alias EH, was killed with a firearm, the structures for the Investigation of Serious Crimes of the Elbasan DVP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office and with the support of the General Directorate of the State Police, found important evidence that led to the uncovering of the event.

Also, during the operation, the mechanism of the incident was revealed, documented with several film footage.

At the conclusion of the investigations, the following citizens were arrested:

Xh. A., 32 years old, resident of Elbasan, (suspected as an accomplice), for the criminal offenses of “Premeditated murder”, committed in collaboration, and “Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”;

KP, 52 years old, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime".

And citizen MA, 32 years old, resident of Elbasan, while he was under the security measure "House arrest" for another criminal offense, as well as AK, 35 years old, resident of Laç, (suspected as perpetrators of the murder), for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", committed in collaboration, "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Removal of a prisoner from the place of residence" were declared wanted.

The investigative actions resulted in the vehicle used by the perpetrators being owned by citizen Xh. A., who had lent it for use to citizen MA.

The special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues intensive investigative actions to identify and capture other persons involved in this event.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, for further action.
