3 citizens had their wallets and cell phones stolen, 2 suspects with criminal records in the field of robberies were arrested in flagrante delicto.
Saranda Police finalized today (April 27) the operation codenamed "Pick pocket", solving three cases of theft.
The arrested are Artur Plaku and Erjon Sulohoxhaj, both residents of Fier.
Saranda Police Announcement:
"The services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to prevent and solve theft cases, organized and finalized the operation coded "Pick pocket". As a result, it was possible to identify and arrest two citizens suspected of theft:
-AP, 58 years old and ES, 45 years old, both residents of Fier.
These citizens were caught and arrested in the act after it is suspected that on 25.04.2026, they stole the mobile phone of citizen SP, a resident of Saranda.
Also, from the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens stole wallets containing sums of money from 2 citizens, on 19.04.2026 and 28.01.2026, in neighborhoods no. 3 and no. 4, Saranda.
Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that these citizens may have committed.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Theft, committed in collaboration".
