The situation within the Socialist Party appears tense, after during the Parliamentary Group meeting, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the expulsion of MP Elisa Spiropali from the group, due to her positions and posts on social networks.
According to the media, Rama spent a few minutes with Spiropali during the meeting, mentioning her absences from the voting and public reactions on social media.
" The first time you didn't come to vote. The second time you made a mistake (referring to the Facebook post) and the third time you don't, you're out of this group, " Rama said, warning him of expulsion from the Parliamentary Group.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that "drama cannot be created" in the party.
" You can't make dramas in the party's work, and that's why I'm addressing you, Elisa. I don't want situations to be created within the party. The party has two colors, white and black. Either white and with us, or black and against us ," said the prime minister.
Rama further added that the warning was related to Spiropali's posts on social media. It is also reported that Spiropali requested to speak, but was not allowed to.
" You can't reply here, you don't have a say anymore. The Socialist Party and I are invested in you ," the Prime Minister addressed the former Foreign Minister.
