Name/ Gunshots in Tirana, 34-year-old man shows up at hospital with bullet wound in leg, dark past revealed

A serious incident was recorded in the late evening hours of May 26, 2026 in Tirana, where a 34-year-old man was injured by gunfire.

According to preliminary information, at around 23:55, citizen Juxhin Hamajezi, who had received a wound to his leg and is out of danger, presented to the hospital for medical assistance.

From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the injury occurred on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, during a momentary conflict for weak motives.

The Tirana Prosecution Office and the investigation group are continuing their work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify and capture the suspected perpetrator or perpetrators.

Hamajezi is a well-known name among the capital's blues after surviving a gun attack in the former Kinostudio area in 2018. He was injured along with his brother Rivelino Hamajezi. This incident was investigated on two counts, that of disrupting drug deals and a previous injury that the latter may have committed.
