Gjirokastra police are solving the murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi, who was executed two days ago in Tepelena.
The blue uniforms have identified and announced a search for the suspected perpetrator of the murder, who has been identified as Kamber Sulçaj.
"Specifically, the suspected perpetrator of the murder was identified, citizen KS, 48 years old, resident of the village of Mesaplik, Vlora, who was declared wanted for the criminal offenses of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people, "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Production and sale of narcotics ", the police announced.
Investigations suspect that the 48-year-old, after a conflict over weak motives, fired a gun at the Italian businessman and the people accompanying him and their banned vehicles. The shooting resulted in the death of Italian Edoardo Sarchi.
Police announce that they have seized the vehicles of the victim and his companions, as well as 2 shotguns, at the scene.
It also seized the vehicle and clothing used during the crime, as well as 2,500,000 lek (in lek and euro), 3 hunting guns, shotgun ammunition, shotgun ammunition, 450 suspected Cannabis seeds and 2 safes.
Investigations suspect that the 48-year-old initially had a verbal conflict, for weak motives, with the victim citizen and the citizens accompanying the latter.
Then, citizen Kamber Sulçaj is suspected of having fired a shotgun at these citizens and their vehicles on the "Nivicë-Salari" axis, where as a result of the shooting, the 44-year-old man lost his life.
– During the procedural actions, the vehicles used by citizen ES and his companions, as well as 2 shotguns, were seized from the scene.
– During the checks, the Police services found hidden in a hut in a deep mountainous area between the villages of Nivicë and Bolënë, the vehicle and clothing that the 48-year-old allegedly used during the commission of the crime.
Also in this area, a bag was found dumped in the bushes, containing 1 pair of infrared binoculars, 1 pair of thermal binoculars, 1 gun holster, and 1 flashlight.
-Furthermore, during the checks carried out in cooperation with the Vlora Police services, in the 48-year-old's apartment and in the apartments of his family, in the village of Mesaplik and in Vlora, around 2,500,000 lek (in lek and euro currencies), 3 hunting guns with combat ammunition (shotguns and bullets), 450 suspected Cannabis seeds and 2 safes (closed) were found.

Gjithashtu, sekuestrohen automjeti dhe veshjet e përdorura gjatë krimit, si dhe 2 500 000 lekë (në valutat lekë dhe euro), 3 armë gjahu, municion për armë gjahu me saçme, municion për armë me vjaska, 450 fara të dyshuara Cannabisi dhe 2 kasaforta.
Si rezultat i hetimeve intensive të kryera nga grupi i posaçëm hetimor, i përbërë nga ekspertë të strukturave hetimore të Drejtorisë Vendore të Policisë Gjirokastër dhe nga ekspertë të Departamentit të Policisë Kriminale të DPPSh-së, të drejtuar nga Prokuroria e Gjirokastrës, ngritur menjëherë pas ngjarjes së ndodhur rreth mesnatës së datës 26.09.2025, në aksin rrugor “Nivicë-Salari”, ku u vra shtetasi italian E. S., 44 vjeç, u mundësua zbardhja e autorësisë dhe rrethanave të rastit.
Konkretisht, u identifikua autori i dyshuar i vrasjes, shtetasi K. S., 48 vjeç banues në fshatin Mesaplik, Vlorë, i cili u shpall në kërkim për veprat penale “Vrasja në rrethana të tjera cilësuese”, në mënyrë të rrezikshme për jetën e shumë personave, “Mbajtja pa leje dhe prodhimi i armëve, armëve shpërthyese dhe i municionit” dhe “Prodhimi dhe shitja e narkotikëve”.
Nga hetimet dyshohet se 48-vjeçari, fillimisht është konfliktuar verbalisht, për motive të dobëta, me shtetasin E. S. dhe me shtetasit që shoqëronin këtë të fundit. Më pas shtetasi K. S. dyshohet se ka qëlluar me armë me vjaska, në drejtim të këtyre shtetasve dhe automjeteve të tyre, në aksin “Nivicë-Salari”, ku si pasojë e të shtënave, humbi jetën 44-vjeçari.
-Gjatë veprimeve procedurale u sekuestruan nga vendngjarja, automjetet e përdorura nga shtetasi E. S. dhe shoqëruesit e tij, si dhe 2 armë gjahu.
-Gjatë kontrolleve, shërbimet e Policisë gjetën të fshehura në një stan në një zonë të thellë malore midis fshatrave Nivicë dhe Bolenë, automjetin dhe veshjet që dyshohet se ka përdorur 48-vjeçari, gjatë kryerjes së krimit.
Gjithashtu në këtë zonë, u gjet e hedhur në shkurre, një çantë, në të cilën ishin 1 palë dylbi me rreze infra, 1 palë dylbi termike, 1 mbajtëse arme dhe 1 elektrik dore.
