Chicken fillet with salmonella/ Abilekaj-Ministres: How do you sleep at night?

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, was invited to the show "Të Paekspozuarit" on MCN TV, where she debated with journalist Enton Abilekaj, about the introduction of chicken fillets with salmonella into the market by the company AMG Food.

The Minister emphasized that in this case, the business has not cooperated on traceability, while it has been urgently referred to several institutions.

Meanwhile, the journalist asked to know the amount of chicken with salmonella that ended up on the market.

Enton Abilekaj : I think that in those 51 businesses where it was distributed, people should be notified not to buy it.

Anila Denaj : It's blocked.

Enton Abilekaj : What percentage has been sold?

Anila Denaj : I said the authorities will speak because it is blocked.

Enton Abilekaj : We need to have a map of where it went, how many were sold.

Anila Denaj: There is another organ.

Enton Abilekaj: You are responsible, how do you sleep when this happens?

Anila Denaj : The police, the tax investigation, the prosecution have it.

Enton Abilekaj : Once we find it, we block it, but in the meantime half of it may have gone and people have used it.

Anila Denaj : No, we can't create panic with this. The authorities are investigating it, you don't know.

Enton Abilekaj : Before the investigation is the non-consumption. Then whether someone will be punished is another matter. Is it being consumed? What percent has been sold? The problem is the political responsibility is yours. What is urgent, where has it gone and how much has been sold?

Anila Denaj : You don't appreciate the fact that the institution has reported to the Prosecutor's Office as soon as it was found? You cannot speculate on the importance we give to health. At the moment when businesses do not inform about traceability, are we not following the law when we refer it? I mentioned tax investigation, economic crime, but you say that half... Traceability is done based on a report that the law has.

Enton Abilekaj : The next day you had to come out and say how many kilograms were traded. Was the rest infected? Out of 41 tons, 7 tons came out with salmonella, we don't know the rest, we don't know yet who ate it.

Anila Denaj : Creating panic is irresponsible. You often, as you are doing now, can also hit with your portal, but not with food safety. Before you get excited, you have to be with a company that has not seen traceability as part of the protocol, the business has not provided information, we take it to the Prosecutor's Office, you say you are irresponsible. We are doing traceability.
