Durim Bami was declared wanted after an arrest warrant issued by the special court on May 15 of this year.
During the "Revanshi" operation, carried out two days later, on May 17, the police could not arrest Durim Bami, as he turned out to have left the country towards the Arabian Peninsula, before the operation was carried out.
Almost a month later, on Monday, June 10, 2024, Durim Bami was escorted by the police of the Emirate of Dubai, following an international search warrant issued by the Interpol Tirana office.
Two days later, on May 12, the Dubai court imposed a security measure of "60 days in prison" for Durim Bami in implementation of the request for extradition from the Albanian state. On the same day, the State Police announced that one of the most wanted people in the country, Durim Bami, had been arrested in Dubai and would be extradited to Albania very soon.
Bam's arrest was considered a great success and the Albanian authorities, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice, promised that they would make all moves to extradite Bam from Dubai, even if they tried to deport him.

At noon on Monday, August 12, 2024, exactly 60 days after the Dubai court ordered Durim Bami's prison sentence, the same court ordered his immediate release.
Since yesterday, Bami is free in the city of Dubai, where he will continue to be "non-extraditable" for the Albanian authorities, regardless of the investigations carried out on his behalf by SPAK and the international arrest warrant issued by Interpol, which remains in force. .
