The Ministry of Health has officially reacted regarding the violence inflicted on the former leader of the Democratic Party of Albania in Lezha, Sokol Toma, who was brutally raped by several people yesterday evening on the Mamurras-Laç highway, near the village of Sandxhak in Kurbin.

The Ministry of Health reports that Toma, as a result of the violence, suffered injuries to his lower limbs and ear damage.

The Ministry also reports that Toma is conscious and in a stable condition at the Trauma Hospital in the capital.

" Patient ST is under intensive monitoring in the emergency room of the University Trauma Hospital with injuries to the lower limbs and ear damage. He is conscious and in a stabilized condition, he will continue to receive treatment at the SUT ," the Ministry of Health writes.

The media also report that the cause of the rape of the former leader of the Democratic Party is suspected to be his business, while the police's reaction is also awaited.
