US President Donald Trump will arrive in Beijing on Wednesday evening, the White House announced.

According to the official program, a public event is scheduled for Thursday morning, while an official dinner between the parties will be held in the evening.

Before Trump's departure on Friday morning, technical-level meetings between delegations from the two countries are also planned.

The White House announced that the US President and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will discuss new agreements in the field of trade and investment. The focus of the talks is also expected to be sectors such as space, agriculture and energy.

Trump is also expected to propose to Xi Jinping an official visit to the United States in 2026.

According to an American official, other international issues such as Iran and Russia will also be on the table, as well as developments in the field of artificial intelligence and Washington's concerns in this regard.

The US has stressed that no change in its policy towards Taiwan is expected, while it has been announced that there has been no progress in talks with China on nuclear issues.
