Drug lab in wealthy neighborhood in Italy, Albanian caught with 1.5 kg of cocaine inside garage

A 41-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian carabinieri after he was tracked down and discovered with a small improvised drug laboratory in the garage located in a building, within an affluent neighborhood.
During the operation, 1.5 kg of cocaine were seized in the garage of a property in the wealthy Giotto neighborhood of Arezzo.
Carabinieri officers from the Operations Unit made the discovery by following a lead and tracing the location. The young man had access to this property, while being verified for accomplices.
A place that was apparently considered safe, as it was owned by a professional from Arezzo, who did not suspect anything.
The drugs were hidden among various objects in the garage. The search was successful. The raid by the carabinieri took place yesterday and confirmation was made today.
"Investigators are constantly paying close attention to drug trafficking in the city. The Carabinieri carry out surveillance in drug trafficking locations and conduct investigations based on the movements, meetings and movements of the individuals involved," Italian media reports .
Following the Albanian, they reached the warehouse containing cocaine — a large quantity with high economic value — which had been cleverly placed where no one would have imagined.
The investigation is still ongoing, while the Court will confirm the arrest of the Albanian suspect.
