"I need 200,000 euros"/ Prosecutor Sotir Kllapi shows the courtroom

SPAK prosecutor Sotir Kllapi read in the courtroom a message that, according to him, Ilir Meta sent to DIA businessman Kastriot Ismailaj in 2009, requesting an amount of 200,000 euros, but the circumstances and reason are unknown.

"Ilir Meta and Kastriot Ismaili had close ties. In 2009, there is an SMS that the defendant sends to Ismaili: "Tomorrow I definitely need 200 thousand, don't forget," prosecutor Sotir Kllapi read.

However, this claim was refuted by Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, who stressed that this content is not in the file he has. Even in the files that were leaked to the media months ago, this episode does not appear.

"This is not in the file we have," the lawyer said. Meanwhile, as the representative of the prosecution, prosecutor Sotir Kllapi continued with another criminal fact against Ilir Meta, the one related to lobbying in America on behalf of the former LSI.

He stated that despite the denial, Ilir Meta was fully aware of the lobbying agreement of his party, the Socialist Movement for Integration, in the United States of America.

"LSI has made agreements with several companies, it was reported that the agreement lasted 1 year and four months, but in reality it was one month, with a cost of 15 thousand dollars that went through the account. First invoice, February 10, 2016, invoice three, May 11, 2016, fourth invoice, June 28, 2014. Three invoices were paid by LSI, 93 thousand dollars, one from Shatku's company. Meta was aware that LSI was financing the agreement and part was paid by Shatku in the USA.

"The payments were periodic. LSI received services from GSIS, where Meta and Panariti went to the USA. Continuous connections have been proven, Mr. Meta's meeting in Morocco and the USA with Mr. Shatku. Meta and Kryemadhi influenced Haxhinasto, Minister of Infrastructure, to change an order," prosecutor Sotir Kllapi emphasized.
