Trump: Ceasefire with Iran in jeopardy, Tehran changed position

US President Donald Trump has declared that the ceasefire with Iran is "in a very fragile state," hinting that the situation between the parties could escalate again.

During an event in the Oval Office, Trump was asked by reporters about the latest international developments and the status of the ceasefire.

He said the agreement is "extremely weak," adding further that  "after reading what they sent us, the ceasefire is practically on life support."

The US president also touched on the issue of enriched uranium in Iran, which he called "nuclear dust." According to him, Tehran had initially agreed to remove the material, but then changed its position.

"They accepted it two days ago, but they changed their minds because they didn't put it in writing,"  Trump said, underscoring the lack of formal commitments.

In his statements, Trump also emphasized that in conflict situations "you have to be flexible" and that strategies change from day to day, claiming that his administration has "an extraordinary plan."

At the end of his statements, he also criticized the Kurds, saying that the US had expected support from them in matters of armaments, but according to him, they have disappointed.

"We thought they were going to give us weapons, but they just want to take them,"  the US president said.
