Former President Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, has explained the symbol that Meta used in court. After the hearing at the GJKKO, Cakrani stated that Meta made the eagle symbol with his hands and not the number 7, which he said is not related to any anniversary.
Cakrani stated that Meta was physically well, but mentally unfit.
"He didn't make the 7 symbol. He made the eagle. There is no anniversary. He is at the height required by his function as chairman of the PL. He was physically fit, mentally unfit," said Cakrani.
The court session that took place today at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime ended at around 5:15 p.m. The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has divided the case for the defendants in the file against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi.
It is reported that a request for a summary trial has been accepted for Fatime Kryemadhi, Pirro Xhixho and Ema Çoku, while the file against former President Meta and Monika Kryemadhi will continue separately.
