"Artists and journalists should be in the opposition their whole lives", Drishti: If you get close to politics, it makes you dirty

Artist Ismet Drishti declared that artists and journalists "must be in opposition their entire lives."
"I am of the principle that the artist and journalist should be in opposition all their lives, regardless of who is in power. Even if the situation is fantastic, they should find what they lack to become better. However, the artist's troubles are like the troubles of all Albanians. And, for trouble, the artist approaches politics. Politics, once you get close, makes you dirty", said Drishti in the studio of "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli, on A2CNN.
"I am of the opinion that idealism is dead in politics. We only have gangs fighting to gain power in different fields, as any gang functions. So, if you get close to politics, you will become dirty. The best politician in Albania, if you go behind his back and support his word, at the very least you will turn out to be a liar. Today I am watching the return of bad communism. I myself knew people who went to party meetings back then and left their children in the cold, barefoot. Today we have reached the same situation, you cannot survive without being connected to politics ," Drishti added.
