The Elbasan Operational Forces arrested one person for cocaine and prosecuted two others, a father and son, for failing to report a crime and possession of cold weapons.
The three people were traveling together in the car and were subjected to a vehicle and physical check.
Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section announced today (October 3) that they arrested G. Sh., 25, in flagrante delicto.
"During the search conducted by the "Operational" Special Force services, a quantity of suspected cocaine was found in the vehicle in which he was a passenger," said the local police.
Following the actions in this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated at large for AX, 26 years old, resident of Cërrik, the driver of the vehicle where the quantity of cocaine was found, for the criminal offense of "failure to report a crime", as the investigations suspect that he was aware of the narcotics that citizen G. Sh. possessed, but did not report it to the competent authorities.
The driver's father, AX, 62, was also prosecuted for the criminal offense of "unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", after a military knife was found and seized during a search of his apartment.
