The suspected perpetrator, Arlind Demushi , already arrested by the police in Durrës, has admitted to the crime and has told his version of the event.
Demushi and the victim were old friends, for about 10 days, Ismailgeci had been staying at Demushi's apartment in Babrru.
On the evening of the incident, both had been to a bar, where they had consumed alcohol.
In his testimony, Demushi stated that the conflict began after the victim was cursed at by his wife.
After leaving the bar, as they were returning home, the argument between them escalated into a physical fight.
At the height of the conflict, Demushi stabbed his friend several times, causing serious injuries that killed him on the spot.
