Better prepared to survive extremes, FAs win silver medal at Cambrian Patrol 2023

The Albanian Armed Forces have been ranked second in the important international competition called "Cambrian Patrol 2023".
The winning team consisting of selected commandos from the Regiment of Special Operations (ROS) and soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Battalion of the Land Force demonstrated leadership skills and extraordinary physical strength in the Cambrian Mountains in Wales, Great Britain by covering 65 km on foot, loaded with 35 kg of weapons and equipment, in a terrain as unknown as it is harsh.
The team of the Armed Forces of Albania ranked second among 37 countries participating in the international exercise "Cambrian Patrol 2023", in the United Kingdom, fully deserving the silver medal. This achievement came as a result of several months of training, preparation and work.
The skills demonstrated in "Cambrian Patrol 2023" make these guys the elite of FASH.
There are only a few Albanian soldiers who are better prepared to survive at the extreme limits of physical and psychological endurance after having perfected tactical skills such as individual, team and group task solving.
This is an activity which is developed by the British Land Forces, namely by the headquarters of the 160th Welsh Brigade with the participation of over 160 teams from over 37 countries.
The aim of Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2023 is to provide world-class training. The training is challenging involving world-class patrolling with the aim of improving operational skills. It is based on scenarios with various highly challenging roles in tactical combat operations.
Leadership, operational skills, good knowledge of weaponry, but also physical and mental endurance are required.
Extreme elements of this training are valued as a test of leadership, self-discipline, courage, physical endurance and determination.
The success achieved by the team of commandos, part of the Special Operations Regiment (ROS) and the soldiers of the second infantry battalion of the Ground Force was also welcomed by the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi and the British military attaché at the Great Britain embassy in our country.
