As businessman Ermal Beqiri continues to be declared the winner in a series of public tenders, including those announced by the National Information Society Agency (AKSHI) and beyond, it is learned that his activity has come to the attention of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Sources for Fax News indicate that BKH officers have conducted inspections at the offices of the company "Soft & Solution" owned by Ermal Beqiri. It is not known whether these inspections by the National Bureau of Investigation are directly related to tenders won by the company or within the framework of an investigation by the Special Prosecution Office.

In an official response to Fax News, SPAK states that it has nothing to share regarding this matter.

Meanwhile, the company "Soft & Solution" continues to be one of the largest beneficiaries of public contracts in the technology sector, without facing any legal or institutional obstacles.

Ermaë Beqiri's name became known to the public in 2021. At that time, the 30-year-old electronic engineer from Gjirokastra and director of Technology and Information at the rectorate of the University of Tirana, was selected as one of the experts called in the corruption trial that was taking place in the High Court against former Deputy Prime Minister Ilir Meta.

The role of Beqiri and his colleagues was to export the video known to the public as “Meta-Prifti”, which implied that Ilir Meta and his associate’s friend Dritan Prifti, both part of the Government, were discussing the division of money in the amount of 700 thousand euros. The expertise conducted by Ermal Beqiri and other experts concluded that the video had been edited and that the text had been taken out of context. Based on this expertise, a panel of 5 judges of the Supreme Court declared Ilir Meta innocent./ Fax News
