Minister Lamallari visits the police officers injured in the protest in the hospital: It is a great pity and disloyalty to use minors to attack with Molotov cocktails

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, has visited the State Police officers who were injured during the opposition protest at the Trauma Hospital. The Minister strongly condemns the violence against the blue uniforms, emphasizing that the use of Molotov cocktails and other dangerous means against officers who were on duty to guarantee order and security is unacceptable.
“Attacks on the state uniform are intolerable,” the minister said, adding that the State Police was at the service of citizens and institutions. He also raised concerns about the involvement of minors in acts of violence, describing this as a serious act of manipulation and exploitation. According to him, the use of children to light Molotov cocktails or throw fireworks at institutions constitutes a serious violation and a criminal liability for those who incite them. “This is not a protest, but a pure act of manipulation and criminal exploitation of minors,” he stressed.
Minister Lamallari's full statement
At the Trauma Hospital to see up close the State Police officers injured by Molotov cocktails and dangerous vehicles while on duty to guarantee order and the safety of citizens. Attacks on the state uniform are intolerable!
It is a great disgrace and disloyalty to put minors in front of them, to push them to light Molotov cocktails and throw fireworks at institutions and State Police employees. This is not a protest, but a pure act of manipulation and criminal exploitation of minors.
The perpetrators, organizers and instigators of violence will be held accountable. We will stand strong in defense of the law, institutions and every citizen of the Republic of Albania.
