New details have been learned regarding the incident that occurred yesterday near police station number 3 in Tirana.
Journalist Xhensila Kodra reports that the two arrested women are sisters, and that the conflict between them and the officer started for a completely banal reason.
The officer, a crime scene agent, was in civilian clothes, not in uniform, and was crossing the street to go to the police station, at the moment the sisters were on the street driving by.
At this point, the sisters started insulting the police officer for not looking when they crossed the street. Then they parked the car and “ambushed” her just before she entered the police station. She warned them not to shoot her because she was effective, but it seems the sisters didn’t trust her.
"You blind man, don't you see when we pass by? Who are you lying to?" they are said to have said.
Initially, the conflict appears to have been simply verbal, but then escalated into physical violence against the employee.
It took the intervention of employees of police station no. 3 to calm the situation and put the sisters in handcuffs.
