Neda Balluku spoke for the first time on Goca dhe Gra on Top Channel about her decision to divorce her husband, Ogreni, (brother of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, under investigation by SPAK), after about 10 years of marriage and three children together.
Tearfully, she admitted that in recent years their relationship has not been good, and that they have lived separately.
"You who know me can imagine. I believe everyone can imagine how I feel. Because of the news. The news is true. The truth is that it is not the first time I have been in this situation, a similar thing happened in 2020. Then we managed to overcome it. The desire was to keep it, but if I could turn back time, I would do the same thing," said Neda Balluku.
"However, for many years now, the relationship has not been healthy, we have been living apart for some time and that is all I want to say about this because I would very much like to manage this moment privately because the biggest priority is the children. I think they need to be protected, we need to be close and I take the opportunity to tell them that mom loves you very much, you are my life," she said tearfully.
Asked if the divorce was a coincidence, she said:
"I don't know who in this world makes impulsive or emotional decisions when it comes to children and family. It takes years to think and make these decisions. I understand both your position and this moment and the curiosity that people may have. I know how my love story has been in front of people for years."
