From the urban line catching fire to violence and sexual harassment, here's what's happened in Tirana in the last few hours

In the last 24 hours, Tirana has been affected by several criminal events and accidents.
The police have arrested several citizens for various criminal offenses. Thus, cases such as conflicts with cutting tools and driving without a license or sexual harassment have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office.
In Kamëz, a city bus caught fire while in motion, but fortunately there were no casualties. Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of each case.

Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 1:
-arrested citizen D. Sh., 48 years old, after he exercised violence against his wife and threatened her with a cutting tool yesterday. The cutting tool was seized as material evidence;
-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen AH, 56 years old, after he illegally occupied a land area belonging to citizen KL in the village of Petrelë.
Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 2 detained citizen DH, 42 years old, on suspicion of having abused his two minor daughters.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 3 arrested and detained citizen SK alias AA, 38 years old, after the Tirana Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Sexual harassment".
The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 5 referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and declared citizen EK, 30 years old, wanted, after on "Halit Haxhija" street, for weak motives, he had a conflict and then attacked citizens EQ, 27 years old and EQ, 23 years old, brothers, with a cutting tool. The brothers are in hospital, out of danger. Work is underway to capture the 30-year-old and to document the circumstances of the case.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 6 referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and declared citizen EH, 37 years old, wanted, after he threatened his wife's brother several times for weak motives. Work is underway to capture the 37-year-old and document the circumstances of the case.
Road traffic specialists:
-arrested citizen AA, 19 years old, after on Dibra Street, while driving, he hit citizen AK, 72 years old, a pedestrian, who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors;
-arrested citizen PK, 64 years old, after at the intersection of "Ferit Xhajko" and "Siri Kodra" streets, the vehicle he was driving collided with the motorcycle driven by citizen F. Gj., 21 years old. As a result, the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were injured, and are in the hospital, under the care of doctors;
-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen AK, 29 years old, after he allegedly lost control of his vehicle on the "Fikas-Mullet" road and as a result, the vehicle left the road. The driver and 3 passengers were injured in the accident, who are in hospital, under the care of doctors;
-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against a 16-year-old citizen, after he was caught in Rinas driving a vehicle without a license. The vehicle was also impounded for lack of documentation.
-Kamëz/Preliminary information: On 07.07.2025, on “Mother Teresa” Boulevard, it is suspected that as a result of a technical defect, a moving bus caught fire. As a result, only material damage was caused. Work is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
