SPAK operations against criminal networks/ Klodjan Braho: They harm the economy,

The Head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has shared a message regarding the consecutive operations carried out by this structure against criminal networks.

Braho emphasizes that assets of criminal origin harm the legal economy, free competition, the economic activity of businesses that operate legally and honestly,

According to the head of SPAK, these are the reasons why such assets of criminal origin should be seized, confiscated, transferred to the state and used for legitimate purposes.

Further, Braho adds that SPAK may act if the property rights and other real rights of natural persons and legal entities that invest in economic activities or private enterprises with legally acquired monetary assets and assets are violated.

"SPAK continues to crack down on organized crime networks involved in drug trafficking from Latin America to Europe and the United Kingdom, money laundering and criminal assets."

Criminal assets harm the legitimate economy, free competition, and the economic activity of businesses that operate legally and honestly. They increase the economic power of organized crime, are used to finance criminal activity, and do not bring any public good.

For this reason, assets of criminal origin should be seized, confiscated, transferred to the state and used for legitimate purposes.

SPAK guarantees that its actions only target assets of criminal origin and assets related to criminal activity. In no case will the property rights and other real rights of natural persons and legal entities that invest in economic activities or private enterprises with legally acquired monetary assets and assets be violated .
