Kakavija is experiencing a significant influx of travelers this weekend, with the queue of vehicles waiting at Greek customs reaching up to 3 kilometers.

Hundreds of Albanian citizens traveling to Greece to spend Orthodox Easter or to shop in Ioannina have faced long waits at border counters.

The delays are also caused by the application of the new border control regime, which includes fingerprinting and photographing all Albanian citizens, increasing the time spent at customs.

Authorities predict that the influx will remain high over the next week due to the Orthodox Easter holiday.
