For News 24, he explained that eight homes are at risk, while the beginnings of the created ravine are now only one meter away from the first house.
The resident said that an abyss about 300 meters long and over 40 meters deep has been created, which is constantly expanding.
"I am a resident of the village of Maleshovë, in the Përmet district, and I am writing to you with deep concern and real fear for the lives of our families. As a result of heavy rainfall, a massive landslide has occurred in our village, which is spreading over a very wide area. Currently, 8 houses are in immediate danger, while families live in 3 of them, where the landslide has reached only 1 meter from the foundations.
A chasm about 300 meters long and over 40 meters deep has been created, which is constantly expanding. The houses shake violently at every moment, creating the feeling of an ongoing earthquake and increasing the risk of collapse.
"This situation is extremely alarming and requires immediate intervention by the responsible authorities, for on-site verification, evacuation of residents and taking emergency measures, before any human life is lost. The lives of our families are at risk," he said.
