Property problems, KPA upholds dismissal of judge Manjola Bejleri

The Special Appeals Chamber (SAC) announced this afternoon that it has upheld the decision of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPK) to dismiss Tirana judge Manjola Bejleri.

Previously, the Independent Qualification Commission had previously decided to dismiss Beyler for insufficient declaration of assets and lack of financial resources to justify them.

We recall that Manjola Bejleri began her career in the justice system in 2000 and worked for more than two decades as a judge at the Court of Tirana. She was also the president of the judges' association.

The panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Natasha Mulaj as presiding judge, Rezarta Schuetz as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama, Sokol Çomo as members, announced the decision on case no. 78/2021, dated 14.12.2021, which concerns the appeal of the reassessment subject Manjola Bejleri against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 460, dated 20.10.2021.

At the end of the trial in the deliberation room, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “a” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, unanimously decided:
