The target of Ragip Gila's assassination attempt in Shkodra, Erogen Vaso, spoke again today with investigators of the serious incident. From the Trauma Hospital where he is currently being treated, Vaso admitted that he is friends with members of the Bajri tribe, but has fundamentally denied being involved in the criminal events. Regarding Gila, Vaso said that he does not know him and has no conflict with him.
"I have friendships with members of the Bajri tribe, I don't deny that, but I am not involved in any criminal activity. I don't know Ragip Gila and I have no conflict with him," said Vaso.
Armando Pali and Erogen Brajovic were drinking coffee in a bar near the Shkodra Municipality when Ragip Gila opened fire on them. The target of the attack is suspected to have been Erogen Brajovic. Armando Pali and Liridon Kraja (Lushi), 31, Erogen Brajovic's bodyguard, were killed in the attack.
Erogen Brajovic's bodyguard died in hospital from injuries sustained in the barrage of bullets. The suspected target, Erogen Brajovic, and the 25-year-old bar waitress, Meri Kaceri, were also injured. Erogen Brajovic, who was shot three times, is in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
