Training of Albanian Special Forces and allies, NATO: Better to die for
The Albanian Special Forces gathered for the first time in the country the most elite units of the eight Special Forces from the Western Balkan region, at the national training ground of Biza in the "Strong Balkan 23" exercise. The Albanian Armed Forces planned and organized the largest training exercise with 220 special forces. For the first time, the operators of the Albanian special forces carried out infiltration from the air with parachutes at 6000 meters altitude, thus becoming fully operational and interoperable. The purpose of the training through complex scenarios was to increase regional cooperation, but also the professional level, tactical, operational and strategic training, to face the complex challenges presented by the security environment today.

On the other hand, NATO has published footage of the exercise that took place from October 31 to November 10, 2023, which also mentions the ROS motto: 'Better to die for something than to live doing nothing!'

"This creates a sense of security in the Balkan region, where special forces train together, bringing peace and security", says the commander of the Special Forces Regiment, Lt. Col. Ajet Jata.
