"Die today, you will be resurrected tomorrow"/ English teacher preaches Jehovah in a school in Tirana

The school is secular and should not promote certain religions, nor teach religious doctrines, but such a thing has happened at the 9-year Gustav Mayer school.

The English teacher preached the religion of Jehovah to elementary school students, and after parents' concerns, the professor was expelled.

With videos about divine love for God and assignments in notebooks for elementary school students related to God's commandments, like these photos obtained exclusively by Top Channel journalist Kristi Gongo, parents of the fourth grader raised the alarm at the school's directorate earlier this week. After verification by the disciplinary committee, the teacher was dismissed.

" 5 hours of teaching about God. He would say God's words about the end of the world. He would only give us 10 hours for God ," says one of the students.

"An unprecedented thing has happened, is there any shame in the world anymore, telling a child 'die today, because you will be resurrected tomorrow?!' Outside, in the afternoon, you can have your faith, but not at school. An unforgivable mistake!", say the parents.

The testimonies of children and parents are shocking, as they show the efforts to indoctrinate students within the school environment. The accounts reveal that the English professor's approach was obvious, but the situation worsened when his beliefs became part of the curriculum.

The English teacher used the class to discuss religious topics. Although he was known as a knowledgeable teacher in the subject, there were parents who were unaware of the situation or were satisfied with the grades.

One of the parents says: "I've had my daughter studying English for 5 years and I've had no problems."

However, the educational institution and regional leaders decided to dismiss the teacher, as a case of violation of the regulation and law that dictates secular education. / TopChannel
