Investigations continue to unravel the assassination attempt that occurred on April 26, 2026 in the village of Balldren, where spouses Kreshnik and Gentjana Mujeci were killed. The police have managed to find and seize important evidence that is expected to help in the full legal documentation of the event.
According to official data, in the village of Torovicë, in the apartment of citizen BK, a "Volkswagen Polo" type vehicle, without license plates, used by the perpetrators to commit the crime, was found. From the search inside the vehicle, two model 56 shell casings were seized, while the vehicle resulted with damaged rear window and side parts.
In the same premises, another identical vehicle, but with regular license plates, owned by citizen BK, was found, which is suspected to have been used to hide the traces of the crime. Also, in the courtyard of the apartment, the clothing used by the perpetrators during the assassination, as well as a pair of license plates, were found and seized.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that citizen FM took the vehicle, which his sister had rented in Rinas, and after removing the license plates, in collaboration with another wanted person, used it to block the path of the victims and shoot them. After the crime, the vehicle was hidden in BK's apartment, covered with grass, with the aim of losing track.
Following the actions, the Police have declared citizen BK, 22 years old, resident of Torovicë, wanted for the criminal offenses of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances" and "Unlicensed possession of weapons and ammunition". Meanwhile, his father, NK, 79 years old, has also been criminally prosecuted for the same criminal offense.
Police services continue intensive field checks to capture the suspected perpetrators and other persons involved in this serious criminal event, while the materials have been referred to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action.

Furthermore, during the search, the clothing used by the perpetrators at the time of committing the crime was found.
The investigative actions resulted in the citizen FM taking the "Volkswagen Polo" vehicle (which his sister had rented in Rinas), removing the license plates and, in collaboration with one of the 2 citizens declared wanted, using it to block the road and shoot at the vehicle in which citizens KM and GM were traveling.
