The murder of Martin Cani, Mario Përlleshi testifies: I found the knife on

Mario Përlleshi testified for the first time in the Tirana Court for the crime of November 18, 2024, where he stabbed his peer Martin Cani to death.

Regarding the cutting tool, he said that he did not have a knife with him that day, but found a cutting tool on the street.

Përlleshi says that the causes of the fight were a continuation of the arguments 3 days before the event where he claimed that he was punched by Martin Cani. The latter sent him an invitation to " SnapChat " according to Përlleshi, where the arguments continued and in the end, Mario claims that they left it to be clarified on Monday, the day when the serious incident occurred.

His testimony was requested by the prosecution and was given in the presence of a psychologist. In most of the answers to questions related to the dynamics of the event, he stated that he did not remember.

The murder of Martin Cani occurred on November 18, 2024 by a peer 200 meters from the "Fan Noli" school in Tirana. Three days earlier, they had had a conflict within the school for trivial reasons, which was seemingly resolved, but which rekindled and escalated with the use of a knife. The two minors met in the morning in the school toilets, argued again but were separated by the security guard.

After class, they met with their respective friends not far from the schoolyard, where a fight broke out that ended with the murder of Martin, the injury of his friend, and the perpetrator's self-injury with his knife. After the incident, the perpetrator threw the bag with the knife into an old building, which was found a few days later and the expertise revealed that the victim and the injured person had been stabbed with the same knife.
