"The murder may have been ordered"/ Investigation into the murder of Elis Roshkadol in Shkodra, revenge for a murder abroad?!
The Special Prosecution Office suspects that a criminal group was involved in the murder of Elis Roshkodoli, committed a year ago, and was created to take revenge for events that occurred abroad, from where the victim had returned a year ago.
So far, Voltan Xhani and his cousin who worked at the rented service have been imprisoned for the assassination attempt that took the young man's life. Dritan Milani, who is suspected of having been the target of a previous assassination attempt in which his brother Olger Stolaj was injured, is still wanted.
The prosecution has reconstructed the crime scene, saying that the young man was drinking coffee with a friend the day he was shot dead by a person wearing a Covid mask. The killer arrived at the scene in a vehicle that had been fitted with stolen license plates in Montenegro and on the way the license plates were changed with others that had been reported as lost by a German citizen investigated in his country for fraudulent schemes. From examining dozens of security cameras to a rented service station, prosecutors are convinced that the open doors of the vehicle that was waiting for the killer indicate that two assistants were waiting for him.
But multiple witnesses say that the young man, who had lost his father and brother in a car accident years ago, was preparing to leave Albania again. One witness told the investigation team that Elis Roshkodoli had sold him the car, telling him he was leaving the country.
Meanwhile, the mother, after recounting other family misfortunes, added the names of her only son's friends with whom he had been staying since returning from Belgium, some of whom were from Elbasan.
" Elis was the only son I had alive ," says his mother.
" He went out for coffee, he didn't express any concern to me. His company was from Elbasan and Korça, but also from Shkodra. He was getting a new passport because he was leaving the country," testifies the mother, who has also made the phone numbers of her son's friends available to prosecutors.
