Killed the 31-year-old from Kukësi in Prizren, the measure of detention is added for "Cobra"

The Basic Court in Pristina has extended the detention measure for another two months for Dibran Hoxhaj, known as "Cobra". Hoxhaj is accused of being the suspected author of the murder of the young man from Kukësi Visar Cengut, in Prizren. The news was announced by the office of judge Violeta Namani, where it is confirmed that Hoxhaj's detention was postponed until November 3, 2023.

Meanwhile, regarding the suspect Roland Susuri, the Supreme Court on August 16, 2023, approved the request for protection of legality, thus replacing the measure of detention with that of appearing in the police. Meanwhile, for the suspects Arben Vezaj and Jesmir Badalli, as a last measure, the Court had imposed the measure of house arrest, but against them, according to the Foundation, the Prosecution has not submitted a request for continuation or change of this measure.

In addition, the Court also set the measure of appearing at the police station for the suspect Burim Mazreku as the last decision, and also for the same, the Court informed that the Prosecution has not submitted a request for continuation or change of the measure. On the other hand, with the decision of April 19, 2023, the suspect Enver Amrllahu was replaced with the measure of detention, as well as the suspect Kujtim Gashi, the measure of detention was replaced with that of appearing at the police. For Amrllahu and Gashi, it was also said that no request for any measure has been submitted.

Dibran Hoxhaj is suspected of being the author of the murder of 31-year-old Visar Cengu and the wounding of his friend Rufgen Shehu inside the 'Kobra City' bar in Prizren. After the physical confrontation, the conflict has escalated to the use of a weapon. It was Dibran Hoxhaj, otherwise known as 'Cobra', who shot three young men from Kukës, injuring one of them and leaving the 31-year-old dead. Dibran Hoxhaj is not an unknown name for justice as he was previously convicted for drug trafficking and physical fighting outside his bar in Prizren.
