Fire on Strikcani Mountain in Bulqiza, several active fire centers in Dibër for several days

The Dibër region continues to face fires throughout its territory. For weeks, numerous fires have been active in all four municipalities of the Dibër region, requiring the intervention of local authorities to extinguish them.

A new fire has been activated this Friday in the mountain of the village of Strikçan in the Zerqan Administrative Unit in the Bulqiza Municipality.

Unlike other previous fires that have been activated mainly near pastures where residents were burning waste, this Friday's fire appears to be intentional because it is on the mountainside and has no connection to pastures that are usually cleared during this period.

Employees of the Bulqizë Municipality's forest service and fire department have headed towards the fire to prevent its further spread.

The damage caused so far is extensive in all four municipalities of the Dibër District.

Meanwhile, several people have been arrested and prosecuted for the arson attacks of recent months.
