"The fate of this country is in our hands!" Edi Rama speaks about EU integration in a meeting with pensioners: Seizing this moment, a historic task, Europe loves us

Prime Minister Edi Rama, following his communication tour for "Works of Albania", held a meeting with the pensioners of unit no. 2 in the capital.

Among other things, Edi Rama has once again focused on negotiations with the European Union, "clarifying" to pensioners that negotiations are continuing according to plan.

"I want to add something else that interests you more than those who are in these media pots, that I am convinced that you have seen them too; "membership was blocked", "integration was blocked", "progress was stopped", but this does not matter. What is important is that the negotiations continue according to plan and at this stage we are in the conditions where we have opened all the chapters of the negotiations and now we are discussing with the European Commission, negotiating what are called intermediate milestones, which are a series of intermediate milestones that are agreed with the European Commission, that for x things the deadlines are these, for x other things these are these, for x other things these are these and these remain as an annex in the negotiation process which means that the end of March and April were planned in our work calendar with the commission as the moment of discussion between us and the member states on the intermediate milestones", the prime minister said.

He further added that "the fate of Albania" is in their hands and at this moment it has "smiled" more than ever, for this reason "taking advantage of this moment" is a historic task.

"Today, the fate of this country has come into our hands and has never smiled on Albania like today, because never before has Albania had all the greats with it like today. We have done our part to get here, but it is also in their interest that we be taken in and we must make the most of this moment. Taking advantage of this moment is the historical duty of every Albanian and is definitely the mission of our party. We are part of the same political force and we do not have to hide this, on the contrary," he said.
