Balluku arrives at SPAK, high police presence

Citizens gathered today in protest in front of SPAK, while it was announced that former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku would be informed of new charges regarding other lots on Tirana's Grand Ring Road.
The police have attempted to remove the protesters from the area. What was noticeable is that the police are afraid of a repeat of the scenes of the protests in front of the Parliament, where MPs, ministers and their cars were pelted with eggs by citizens. At one point, one of the protesters even tells the officers to check her if they want because she doesn't have any eggs with her.
Even the streets leading to the entrance to SPAK were filled with uniformed police officers and civilians.
Meanwhile, Balluku initially sent lawyer Ardian Kalia to SPAK and a few moments later she also appeared.
Belinda Balluku appeared today (July 31) at the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, where she is expected to be informed of the postponement of the investigations, as well as the new charges.
