Bomb alert on Air India plane, just hours after tragedy that claimed over 240 lives

An Air India plane traveling from Phuket to New Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing after a bomb threat on June 13.

Amidst flight AI379, the crew discovered a threatening note in the aircraft's toilet. After an emergency return to Phuket and a search by Thai authorities, no explosive devices were found.

Just a few hours earlier, another Air India flight, AI171 from Ahmedabad to London, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing over 240 people.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed near a college dormitory, killing both passengers and people on the ground. Only one person survived.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the two incidents, while the international community has expressed condolences and support.
