5-hour Putin-Witkoff-Kushner talks cancel Brussels meeting with Zelensky

The meeting between US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, his leader's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not take place.

The planned meeting in Brussels has been cancelled and sources confirm that the talks will not continue and Zelenskyy is returning to Ukraine.

According to Kyivpost, the Kremlin claims that Witkoff and Kushner "promised" to fly directly to Washington after their talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, a statement that has not been confirmed by the American side.

Witkoff and Kushner were to discuss with Zelensky the results of their talks with the Russian president.

The reason for the cancellation has not yet been revealed.

Russia and the United States reached "no compromise" after nearly five hours of talks to end the war in Ukraine, Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said late Tuesday, despite calling the discussions "very useful and essential."
