Dodik: Marine Le Pen was convicted because she is a threat to the system

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said today that the leader of the right-wing French National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, has been punished because she is a threat to a system that does not know how to lose.
"Just like in my case, the decision was not made because of the law – but because of politics. She, like me, is paying the price because she has the support of the people who cannot win in the elections. The courts have become a tool of those who are afraid of democracy – because they know that they cannot succeed against us in fair elections," Dodik writes on the "X" platform.
In a message in English, he declared that "that's why they are trying to erase them with decisions, not defeat them with arguments."
"When will you stop? Until you convict the last democratic leader? Je suis Marine," Dodik wrote.
A Paris court announced earlier today that it had found Le Pen guilty of misusing European Parliament funds.
