Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency: Iran's enriched uranium

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, declared before the UN Security Council that the plant where Iran produced uranium up to 60% has been destroyed as a result of Israeli air strikes.

"The above-ground plant for the production of uranium up to 60% has been destroyed," Grossi said in his official report, adding that the radiological contamination is manageable if the appropriate measures are implemented, The Guardian reports.

According to him, within the premises of the nuclear facility in Natanz, there is radiological and chemical contamination, but there are no signs that the underground halls, which are more protected against direct attacks, have been hit.

However, Grossi warned that attacks on power supply systems could have damaged centrifuges, which are essential for the uranium enrichment process.

This statement comes at a critical moment in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, where nuclear targets have become part of an increasingly dangerous clash.
