War with Iran/ US deploys elite forces to the Middle East

The United States has deployed a number of elite military units to the Middle East, in a move that suggests preparations for possible operations against strategic targets in Iran.
Among the units involved are some of the most advanced American special operations forces, including the 160th SOAR (Night Stalkers), specializing in transport and air support for covert operations, as well as the 75th Ranger Regiment, known for rapid interventions and strikes against high-value targets.
Delta Force (1st SFOD-D), an elite unit for counterterrorism operations and high-risk precision missions, as well as the 1st and 5th Special Forces Groups, which have experience in unconventional warfare and support of local forces, may also be involved in the field.
The list is completed by Navy SEALs, specializing in naval operations and interventions from the air, land and sea.
According to available analysis, these deployments could be linked to several operational scenarios. One of them involves control of strategic islands in or near the Strait of Hormuz, a key point for global oil transportation.
Another possible target is Kharg Island, Iran's main oil export terminal, which is considered vital to the country's economy.
Also under assessment are possible operations against Iranian nuclear facilities or other infrastructures of high strategic value.
