US-Iran negotiations at critical stage/ Trump towards "final decision", Tehran rejects conditions: There is no agreement without...

Talks between the United States and Iran on a possible deal have recently moved closer, but a final understanding has not yet been reached, according to statements from the parties and diplomatic sources.
US President Donald Trump has said he is consulting with security officials to make a “final decision” on the current offer on the table, signaling that negotiations have entered a crucial phase. However, Tehran has responded by stressing that there is no final agreement yet, leaving many of the key issues dividing the two sides open.
According to Sky News reports, the initial draft of the agreement would include a 60-day extension of the ceasefire, as well as measures to ease maritime traffic, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of some US restrictions. This transitional phase would give the parties more time to negotiate the most complex issues, notably Iran's nuclear program and economic sanctions imposed by the US.
Enriched uranium, Washington's "red line"
The most sensitive issue remains Iran's enriched uranium, which according to the International Atomic Energy Agency reaches levels of up to 60 percent, very close to the technical threshold for military use.
Washington demands that Iran give up these reserves, while Tehran categorically rejects such a demand, considering it a violation of its energy sovereignty. American officials have emphasized that preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons remains a “red line,” while the current discussions aim only at a temporary agreement on general principles.
The issue of sanctions and frozen Iranian funds remains in the background of the negotiations. Tehran is insistently demanding full access to its assets, while the US is exploring indirect formulas for unblocking them without making direct financial transfers.
Despite recent diplomatic moves, international analysts emphasize that the differences between the two countries remain quite deep and any possible agreement will require major compromises in the coming days and weeks.
