After a careful restoration and conservation process, the Ethnographic Museum of Berat , one of the most important cultural heritage institutions in the country, has reopened, enriching the tourist offer of the city of Berat .

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, emphasized that the reopening of the museum represents an important investment in the preservation and promotion of Albanian cultural heritage.

"After a careful restoration and conservation process, the Ethnographic Museum of Berat reopens its doors, enriching the tourist offer of one of the most visited cities in Albania. With a collection of around 1,300 objects that testify to the heritage, culture, traditions, crafts and way of life of the people of Berat over the centuries, the museum comes redesigned to offer an authentic and contemporary experience for every visitor", said Minister Gonxhja.

According to him, the restoration interventions were carried out with a focus on preserving the original values ​​of the building and improving the visitor experience.

"Restoration interventions have preserved the authenticity and monumental values ​​of the object, while the re-museumization, new lighting and restoration of the collections transform this 'museum house' into an important address of our cultural memory and identity," he declared.

Minister Gonxhja underlined that the reopening of the museum further strengthens Berat's position as a unique tourist and cultural destination.

"The reopening of the Ethnographic Museum is an investment in heritage, culture and tourism, further strengthening the role of Berat as a unique destination where history, tradition and Albanian hospitality meet at every step.
