Bill Gates seeks control of AI! Targets meeting with Xi Jinping on the dangers of artificial intelligence

Bill Gates is seeking to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping during a planned visit to China in November to discuss the risks posed by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.

In an interview with Reuters, the Microsoft co-founder said that China could accept restrictions on the publication of dangerous AI models if the United States takes the lead in this regard.

Gates proposes that countries monitor the ability of artificial intelligence to create dangerous molecules and carry out biological attacks.

He has also called for the creation of an international organization to oversee AI. Gates compares this structure to international nuclear arms control systems, aviation regulations, and agreements to protect the ozone layer.

His concern has also increased due to the new capabilities of artificial intelligence in the field of cyberattacks.

Gates said that several recent incidents, where AI systems have managed to hack websites during security tests, are shocking.

Another major concern is related to jobs. Gates warns that AI could replace a significant portion of human labor and suggests that companies that use AI to replace workers should pay taxes on the income generated by this technology.

He says up to 40% of current jobs may need to remain reserved for people, especially in sectors where human contact is irreplaceable.

Meanwhile, the Gates Foundation aims to spend about $200 billion by 2045, with an increasing focus on the use of artificial intelligence in health and education.
