Netanyahu rules out peace with Iran: No deal can be reached with these savage people

Benjamin Netanyahu says he does not believe in a diplomatic agreement with Iran.

The Israeli prime minister backed President Donald Trump's new economic pressure campaign, saying it should target not only Tehran but also those who aid the Iranian regime. Recalling his last meeting with Trump, Netanyahu said the possibility of diplomacy had also been discussed. But during an event in Jerusalem, he used harsh tones towards the Iranian leadership and ruled out reaching a deal.

 "I told Trump: Of course, there is a possibility of reaching a deal, a good deal. We have no objections. However, I doubt that a deal can be reached with that group there, with those savages. I'm telling you: a deal cannot be reached ," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu has long been an opponent of diplomacy with Iran and the 2015 nuclear deal. He described Trump's economic pressure as a "third option," alongside diplomacy and war.

The US president announced a new economic offensive against Iran on Monday. Although he participated in the joint US-Israeli attack in February, Trump accepted the ceasefire in April and continues to avoid returning to full-scale war.
